1. Introduction

This documentation describes how to set up and run a coupled simulation between a toy model and Meso-NH with the OASIS coupler. It does’nt contain detailed explanations on the use of Meso-NH or OASIS. You are therefore advised to familiarise yourself with these models before reading this documentation.

The developments were carried out as part of an Ocean-Wave-Atmosphere project group initiated by the CNRM around the SURFEX surface model [Voldoire et al., 2017, Pianezze et al., 2018].

The developments initially available in version 5.3 of Meso-NH have been ported to version 5.7. New features since version 5.3 :

• upgraded of the OASIS coupler from version oasis3-mct_3.0 to version oasis3-mct_5.0.

• redesigned of the toy model to simplify its use.
